Media wall, Drawing Room and Dining area with a Bespoke Bar

Sid & Claire kindly answered some questions for us about their experience with Home Cinema Interiors.

1. What was your initial idea around your first renovation (Media Wall)? Did you gather ideas? Research tradespeople that offered that service?

We were looking to refurbish the family room, changing it from a simple ‘TV on the wall’ to a stylish and functional media wall, with added ‘wow’ factor. We looked for ideas on various websites, Facebook and home style magazines, and contacted a few companies to provide suggestions and quotes; however, we didn’t feel inspired by what they could offer and a couple of firms didn’t even bother to come back to us with a quote.

2. How did you hear about Home Cinema Interiors (probably Home Cinema Design) when you first got in touch? And what was your perception at that time of the services that we offer?

We came across Home Cinema Design (Interiors) on Facebook, after you’d posted some images of media wall designs recently completed. We were very impressed with the quality and bespoke styles, as well as their professionalism and eye for creating something truly eye catching. We visited your web site to find out more and were excited to see that your services were not just limited to media wall installations. Lots of positive customer reviews also reassured us that you were a good company to approach, especially as we’d experienced some poor tradespeople in the past.

3. What was it about Josh and Home Cinema Interiors that made you happy to proceed with your initial renovation? And similarly, what were the things that he, and the team, did that made you become the repeat/loyal clients that you did?

Initial contact with Home Cinema Designs was with Charlotte. Her prompt, polite, professional and non-pressured response to our initial enquiry made it an easy decision for us to proceed with obtaining a quote and design advice. Meeting Josh and the team, set the ‘trust meter’ even higher! Importantly, Josh listens… and is a full of ideas of how to take your framework thoughts and make them into something unique and special. After meeting Josh, we knew we were in good and knowledgeable hands, as he translated our requirements into a design that we loved. Josh and the team, excel at making the installation perfect, always going above and beyond. When issues arise (as they always do with home projects), we never have any concerns as Josh is always ready with a solution. Josh’s trusted network of other trades (eg, plumbers, plasters, painters) make this a truly one-stop, all-in-one firm! It is hard to find a truly trusted team that can constantly deliver to an exceptional standard. These are the reasons we’ve returned to Josh to renovate other parts of the house, creating breathtaking and bespoke rooms that repeatedly attract compliments from friends, family and other tradespeople that visit.

4. How do you feel about your home renovations?

We LOVE what Josh and his team have created for us! The quality of the workmanship, attention to detail, knowledge and experience, and design flare, together with the politeness and commitment of the whole team, removes any fear about engaging with Home Cinema Interiors.

5. Would you recommend Home Cinema Interiors? If so, are there specific reasons why?

Quite simply, YES!! If, before they finish a job, you are already talking to Josh about the next project, you can firmly say that you’ve found the holy grail of a tradesman! We certainly won’t be going anywhere else to have our renovations done. If you are looking for an honest, competent company that deliver something special, there’s no reason to go anywhere else!

Upon seeing a friends 2 TV and sound equipment installations, I wished to move an existing TV set up and add a self purchased soundbar. So I contacted Home Cinema Interiors who were helpful and booked a convenient timed evening appointment. A survey and detailed competitive quotation promptly followed. Date booked to avoid/accommodate a homeworker. Superbly clean and careful preparation on the day, resulting in all cabling moved and hidden from view. Stunning result and hence 5 * review. Wholeheartedly recommended. Brilliant courteous, competent team.

We recently used this company for a full refresh of our lounge interior, including ceiling replastering, full redecoration, and the resanding and refinishing of an original wooden floor — and the results have been excellent.

From the outset, the team were professional, punctual, and easy to deal with. They communicated clearly, turned up on time each day, and worked efficiently throughout. Just as importantly, they kept everything clean and tidy, which made a real difference during the process.

The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The restored wooden floor, in particular, has been brought back to life and has completely transformed the space. The attention to detail across all aspects of the job really shows.

Overall, a reliable and highly professional service that delivers exactly what it promises. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We weren't sure how to go about the installation of a media wall, but I came across the details for Home Cinema Interiors and so glad I did. From the first phone call through to completion of the job, the whole team were fantastic. Josh is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work, Charlotte was so helpful guiding us through the design and every member of the install team did an amazing job ... professional, quick, clean and tidy. Attention to detail was second to none and they bent over backwards to meet all our requests. I would have no hesitation is using the team again or recommending their services.

From our initial enquiry with Kelly and Charlotte in the wonderful Home Cinema Interior Basingstoke showroom to completion of our media wall the overall customer service and work has been 10/10. Nothing was any trouble for Charlotte in the office throughout the planning process. The wealth of knowledge Charlotte and the installation team have is impressive and to see the media wall I have been wanting come to life after a lot of decision making was special. We love it!!
Upon installation the engineers were always prompt, on time and were all polite, friendly, and very hard working.
I would definitely without hesitation recommend HCI to create your media wall or any other home interior improvements you won't be disappointed.

We loved this place. Josh and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They were patient & helpful with us through the design process as we iterated from a rough concept to a design we loved. We started at just a fire & TV surround but ended up getting a some new flooring and some decorating at very reasonable prices. The installation team came soon after we had signed the deal and were really professional and courteous at our home. The finished product is fantastic, and we really appreciated their attention to detail and Josh’s willingness to listen and tweak things as needed. We would score them 10 out of 10 and would definitely highly recommend them.

This company provided a first class service ,Josh and his Installation team were brilliant and have provided us with an excellent product which we are over the moon with the result.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are thinking of having similar fitted .
An installation of this quality by this company in my opinion will almost certainly add value to any dwelling

We were so pleased with our media wall (reviewed earlier) we invited Josh and his fabulous team back to update our study. They installed woodup panels to one wall and lowered the ceiling installing colour changing automated lighting with full decoration (see photos). We then went on to ask Josh to also install woodup panels in our master bedroom which we are thrilled with. Three great projects all completed to a high standard with attention to detail. Highly recommend!

Utterly professional service from beginning to end. Josh and his whole team were outstanding and we are delighted with our new media wall which has exceeded our expectations. It has been a pleasure working with Josh who was open to all our ideas and nothing was too much trouble. The schedule of works we received prior to commencement of work was invaluable as we were kept informed on who would be attending on what days. Highly recommend!

Utter professionalism. Josh, Chris, Charlotte and team advised, designed, built and installed this bespoke media wall. Plus transforming the room its in. The sound system is built in and integrated into a redecorated room which was immaculately undertaken by them at the same time. The visionary touches ranged from complementing radiators to the door hinges. The work ethic displayed by every single team member has been exemplary. As has been the ongoing support service from initial meetings at the showroom to follow up after work has been completed. They provide a one stop shop for any project at the highest levels of quality.

Josh and his team first did our first media wall 12 months ago and it transformed a rather looking plain wall into a beautiful media wall and it was very much the centrepiece of the home.
When we moved earlier this year we got Josh and his wonderful team to do two media rooms redesign our bedroom.
The care they show is first class along with the attention to detail .
There workman are first class alongside the preparation and planning of the work which is organised by Charlotte and the team in the office..
I think they are the best people in the industry and if you are looking to have media walls or any home upgrades look no further than this wonderful team and company

Great experience from beginning to end. Was recommended Home Cinema Interiors by friends in the village we live in. Richer Sound also recommended them completely independently. Lots of elements made it one of the best overall “big spend” experiences I’ve had in a very, very long time…

1. Great showroom where I felt really looked after, welcomed, and listened to
2. Amazing tech/AV knowledge (admittedly I’m a bit thick with this stuff, but Josh is a legend)
3. Charlotte and rest of staff always super helpful and very patient (we struggled with decisions!)
4. Quality of all work was excellent. Painter they used was incredible!
5. Overall finished outcome/install spot on, not a single aspect I could fault (and I’m picky)

Most importantly of all, however, was just the level of genuine care for a great outcome, which is usually hard to quantify… I’ve had my fair share of builders and trades people - ranging from average to great (as usually use recommendations), and Josh is absolutely next level. At one stage in the final setting up, he stayed until 20:30 at night (yes, you read that right), endlessly tweaking the final setting up, all so my son and I could get it working perfectly. He never once seemed fazed or grumbled and honestly, genuinely only seemed concerned with ensuring we were “100% happy with everything and feeling totally comfortable with how to use it”… next level above and beyond service.

Not cheap, and I could’ve got a local chippy to do a similar job for 80% of the price (so they alleged), but couldn’t be happier with the overall outcome and if I had to do it all over again wouldn’t hesitate for a second about using Josh and team. If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well, and with a home cinema system you might as well get the best job you can afford… So if you can afford Josh and team you’d be nuts not to use them. Legends!

Where to start, I found Home Cinema Interiors on Instagram and booked an appointment with Josh. Josh attended my home and explained the different designs etc. The process was simple and Josh arranged absolutely everything from start to finish. Josh and his team, were amazing, tidy, on time and polite throughout the build. I would also like to thank Charlotte from Home Cinemas who helped with choosing the colours of the walls and wood panelling throughout. Once again, I would highly recommend them and will be using them again shortly with other projects in my home.
