AV & CABLE MANAGEMENT

What is Cable Management?

Arguably, it’s not the most exciting part of our renovations but without it there is undoubtedly going to be an impact on the over all look of the renovation. Having cables concealed and managed for ease of access and safety is a crucial part to all of our installations.

At Home Cinema Interiors we are qualified electricians, with a wealth of knowledge not only on the technical and safety specifics of electrics but also how manage those cables to ensure aesthetically pleasing finishes. There are many solutions for the reams of cables hidden behind your TV or the unsightly trunking running from the TV to nearby sockets.

As mentioned in the TV mounting section, it is becoming more popular to have TVs mounted to living room walls and as a result an increase in the desire for cable management. TV cables can be safety and securely fed through cavities in the walls. Plug sockets can be installed behind the TV and dependent on style of your install and the brackets in use, Sky/Virgin boxes and games consoles can be concealed behind the TV.

Cable management and AV installation - Home Cinema Design

We use a host of cable management products to ensure all cable and electronics are organised and accessible. The idea is that you could remove your TV from the wall and all the cables would stay clipped and organised in their place.

You are likely to have a cabinet somewhere in your living area that houses electronics such as consoles, DVD players, AV receivers and Sky/Virgin boxes. If you opt not to have them mounted behind the TV or this is not possible, we can manage and organise these cables, mounting them to the inside back of a cabinet for your ease of access and future management.

  • Josh and team did an amazing job with our media wall. And there was an existing structure where they created the media wall, so they had to be creative to come up with support structureI am amazed by their execution quality and speed. It’s rare to get your vision turn into reality and this team made it happen. And without any fuss. I mean they are real professionals, the entire process right from contacting them for a quote to the final media wall was very seamlessly managed.

  • I was recommended Josh and his team for building a media wall with fireplace and after speaking with him I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and expertise in building media walls. We agreed a design and Josh gave great advice on what would look good.Josh was an absolute pleasure to have on-site, so much so that I hired him to also build a naturewall with hidden storage as well as build some storage cupboards in our kids playroom. Throughout all the jobs, Josh made sure it was completed to his own very high standards and nothing we asked was too much.I would highly recommend Josh both for workmanship but also just how easy he is to deal with. He transformed our home and we are grateful to have worked with him.
